In 2008, the city of Columbus, Ohio awarded The Gold Medallion 30K to administer a summer enrichment academy which helped propel many at-risk youths from impoverished backgrounds from academic failure to success. Not only is strengthening the culture of the family and youth a key component of Ms. Johnson’s passion, but a relaunch of the Gold medallion in 2025 will help equip parents of pre-school children get a running start to social, spiritual and academic success.
